My TUS Memoir
May 26th
I, Angel (Reggius) joined TUS as Sergeant Major of CrUeL Company. In the beginning when the guild had just started going, I assisted in the building of CrUeL Company along with its officers. I had hosted 4-5 trainings along with the beginning of each guild's statistics (May 28th and at this time only CrUeL and Kozak Company had existed). I had begun the statistics as my goal at the time was to be the lead Logistics Officer so that I could have a team do it with me. With this in mind, our launch date was quickly approaching and the State officially launched May 31st. After launch CrUeL Company numbers were at a total of 46 with a few double taggers as they were in high leadership positions. As the days passed, it grew hard to be on Graal as the servers were indeed dying once again, eventually the fog had cleared the valley and on June 4th the Unified State went to war with Arcadia. The first and last battle was an SS System Battle fought in the Battle. I personally participated for very little time, less than an hour as I was at work. After the victory, Arcadia fell which left the Unified State as the victors. Shortly after doing so however, CrUeL company after showing great success under Naz, ended as he retired from the guild. This not only meant the disbanding of CrUeL Company but also the integration into Han and Kozak
May 31st
Han Company was introduced and led by Major Travis, I had begun to start work on their statistical data shortly after Han Company was born and did one to help keep it in check.
Shortly after joining the Company, Joe Kyro and I continuously went at each other. Personally, I thought what he was doing was merely a power grab and his way of embedding himself into the State. After arguing with him and Draz I was demoted for this disrespect towards them, from there I was a Sergeant where I had to earn my way back up and beyond that.
June 5th
When I joined Kozak, I held my rank as Sergeant Major, at this time I had helped Kozak and hosted trainings here and there. I mainly helped with the SIA in securing the removal of Choco and arguing against Joe and his government. On June 6th, I was demoted to Sergeant for “bullying” and disrespect towards the Councilors. Although I found this very unfair as neither Draz or Joe were punished. I understand Logan’s point and he did warn me in advance. Then on June 8th the Election between Mavis and Azerius was held, this election was very chaotic and included much arguing. Joe eventually pushed for my punishment through Oksana for the “Bribery” of various people including the Brs. As he pushed this, more “bribery” was exposed and Joe had yet to fix said “loophole”. In the end, nothing happened to anyone due to it being Joe’s fault for letting it all happen as he led the government. Joe took this as blame on him (which it kinda was) and removed himself from the guild. Before that though, Mavis had indeed won the election after a secure vote was done. Personally, I voted for Mavis for a couple reasons. First being I did believe she was a good candidate and could thrive if given the opportunity. Second, Noctis and I used her running to get into Joe’s circle and chat groups, fortunately enough he resigned before we could do anything with this. After Joe resigned, Vulnus quickly took the mantle and began developing his own government shortly after, at one point we had a server focusing on what was needed in the constitution.
June 8th
The SIA began to investigate Choco, with this I was the agent who led the charge against him. I had gotten close to Choco and had him give me ideas and asked him what he wanted to do. Choco said he wanted to do a “State Civil War” and eventually when he was removed. He created the “225th Infantry” as a way to “fight the State”. After all this commotion, Spyros and I went from Sergeants to 1st Lieutenants, in a rank restructure proposition (made by me) it moved several people up and moved several others down. This included the promotion of Spyros and I to First Lieutenants. From here Spyros and I enacted several different new things to Kozak which led to both of us quickly moving up to Senior Lieutenant and we worked well at the time. The first thing I did when I became Kozak’s Sr. Lieutenant was creating an organizational chart following Azerius, this worked great and showed what needed to be done. At the time Halfdan and Mavis were under us and I worked with Halfdan to eventually take my spot. When I told Markus to eventually work under Mavis he had refused saying he was better than her etc. Outside of that I believe Spyros and I worked well together because he would listen to me more openly and although I cared for his opinion, I would work with it a lot more to make him happy and to move us both up together. Spyros and I together assisted JJ in the building of Kozak Company, we had become the Captains by June 15th and I firmly believe that without us, Kozak would have not advanced nearly as far as it did. Although JJ was a wonderful Major, as he was promoted from Captain. I believe he lacked things the later other Captains and Majors would do. JJ in my opinion and from what I could see did not do the things Spyros, Thanatos, Halfdan and I would do in the future (later relevant with Sage being much like JJ). Although lacking these future things that would be important to the guild. After building up Kozak Company, Spyros and I moved on from Kozak Company, leaving it with good officers at the time such as Halfdan and Mavis who Spyros and I worked with to take our spots a Captains.
The Vulnus Government (June 10th)
When Vulnus started his version of the Government, a new constitution which was much better than Joes was put into place. This Constitution covered many new things along with some of that of the old constitution. Elections which we held on June 12th and concluded on June 13th. These elections had become much more secure and less of a problem, many officials were auto-elected or elected in several minister positions. Among that, Estrella and I fought it out to be Minister of Logistics where with my previous work in the early ages of the Unified State had been chosen over what Estrella had done in previous States. When the Ministries began to go in motion, at first only one did anything outside of Intelligence, this would be my Ministry, the Ministry of Logistics. I had begun and launched 5 ID Cards as done/attempted in a previous State. These ID cards were Thanatos, Rollins, Kusan, JJ and mine. After that I had decided to put the project on hold for the next election (later advised by Logan to not do this). Then JJ was the next to use his Ministry (of Arts), he held an Art contest on August 13th that resulted in Zanelia as the winner on August 26th, this was a great way to exhibit the art of the Unified State and I personally applaud JJ for this idea. Finally the last minister to actually do his job was Spyros, he had archived the old Unified State server and helped write the wiki in more than one way, once again I applaud him for his work here. Regarding the Intelligence Ministry, James did an outstanding job along with agents such as myself and Spyros in securing the safety of the Unified State. Morzan at the time was also developing the bots technology for the Sentinels alongside Logan. Outside of this, the Government fell apart due to the inactivity from Vulnus and the other ministers. I can easily say that Arnold, Oksana, Naz, Ceres did nothing for our new government. They were unfortunately wasted space in this version of the government.
June 20th
After all the commotion that went on, Spyros and I left Kozak in great shape, giving it a good set of officers (outside Markus who complained about us leaving). When we joined Han Company, Travis became the Lt. Colonel, I became the Major and Spyros my Captain alongside Arnold with Thanatos as Sr. Lieutenant. We began to implement the same things as we did Kozak, training schedules, recruitment drives (Arnold did extraordinary in this), although complaints were given we worked through it and set up a good foundation for Thanatos which he then furthered once he took our position on July 10th, the formation of Çønsïlïm Company. With this, Thanatos was left with a few officers and ones coming up such as Kai. He, although struggling a bit later on in the month did exceedingly well with him being in charge of Han Company.
July 15th
State IDS were launched and the first 5 were made. After a few edits it was at a point that Kusan had liked. Along with this Çønsïlïm Company was created 5 days earlier on July 10th and began to grow largely in part from Emberlynn, who did a tremendous job recruiting. In addition 4 days previously, Thanatos assumed the position of Major of Han and Halfdan Major of Kozak, this trio between us undoubtedly was the best scene after the duo of Spyros and I. Unfortunately the relationship between Spyros and I began to dwindle, to which I can and will take part of the blame. I took charge a lot and shot down his ideas many times, with this I should have been more open like I was near the beginning. Due to this he and I began to argue and in late June, early July the first trade in TUS History was made. Jace went from Kozak to Çønsïlïm and Spyros went from Çønsïlïm to Kozak. Being honest, I did this because I believe I could work well with Jace and for a short time, I did. Jace and I worked extraordinarily hard alongside Emberlynn in keeping Çønsïlïm going. It later fell once all the top officers had resigned and only Fergus and I were left. The reason why Fergus was there is because I took a gamble on him over Zanelia. Was I right? Well it depends, technically I lost the gamble but choosing Fergus over Zanelia was a great choice. Although Zanelia held trainings here and there, she could not recruit like Fergus did. Fergus helped keep the Company alive. I was told I couldn’t receive help, so I did refuse it. In the end I disbanded Çønsïlïm because first I came to the realization (one that Thanatos pointed out a month beforehand) that three companies could not work in the TUS especially now that school was approaching. So on August 26th, I ended the Company. Merging my members back into Han and Kozak.
Other Events in July
Other events in July include Thanatos and I leading several different battles throughout the July Campaign against us, although not all were victories, some were. Not only this but at one point, Truth and I “drove off” Markus. Markus had done little to nothing for Kozak, hardly ever recruiting, one in a million trainings. At most he talked to the troops which don’t get me wrong, it is good to form connections, but not good to sit on your ass. Truth even spoke up about it, siding with him in this situation, which I greatly applaud him for. Towards the end of July the Company Wars went on, Kozak losing against Han and winning against Çønsïlïm Company. Throughout the Çønsïlïm vs Kozak there were misinterpretations and what I called cheating as both Sammy and I were killed from the Spawn, regardless I asked for a new round and then had to go. Good job to Kozak for their win. Outside of this, Sage, Spyros, Kusan and I were working on a new server and eventually launched it on the 29th of July, the server later archived by Spyros.
August 26th
I disbanded Çønsïlïm Company and at the time was promoted to Lt. Colonel. Eventually it happened to be that because my company “failed” I indeed had to take fault. Similarly I was demoted back down to Major of Han Company and Thanatos promoted to Lt. Colonel where Han Company continued to be successful up until near mid September. Regardless there was a lot of backroom chats, one being the idea of Drazius pushing Sage for Lt. Colonel immediately skipping the work as Major, the work Halfdan, Thanatos and I all did for 1-2 months. With this we heavily argued against it, why? Because although she had convinced Drazius, she most definitely didn’t convince us. As I relate back to the beginning of this memoir, I relate Sage to JJ. Both in the beginning did stuff, but things officers do. Yes Sage managed Kozak while Halfdan was gone, can I say successfully? Unfortunately I don’t have the statistical data to argue for it or against it, but when it came time for the new promotions and demotions she was made Major, under her as Major she did have lots of tag activity, so did Spyros as Captain in Han whilst I was Major once more. She did assist me in developing rules for the guild, outside of that on a documentation/higher officer level she didn’t do much. She had hosted trainings (5 in the past month if I remember correctly) and recruited a small number of soldiers. Personally Spyros deserved Major positions more than her at the time, as he did so much more than just trainings and being on, he had many recruits throughout his career and assisted myself in building companies which unfortunately was overlooked. Regardless of this once again with myself as Major and Spyros once again my Captain, Han Company thrived while Kozak was slowly hurting. Thanatos, Spyros and I managed to peak 20 at one point and had a daily of 14-15 online at one time throughout the day. For Kozak the same could not be said, neither Sage nor Zanelia and unfortunately Halfdan were doing much for Kozak, their best recruiter (Xeda) was inactive at the time and overall none of those officers really trained or tried to bring up new people to be officers.
Early September
After a little over a week and a half of being Major, I resigned knowing what was upcoming and being continuously unhappy with several decisions made. I resigned not too long after Kusan (who in my opinion was really the glue to hold us together). With my resignation, I was treated much like a traitor, although not leaving on bad terms. Shortly after my resignation, Sage was promoted to Lt. Colonel (a mistake on JJ’s part considering the inactivity stemming from Halfdan and the lack of effort coming from Zanelia), in addition Spyros was promoted to Major. After that, Thanatos resigned and due to this Spyros was quickly promoted to Lt. Colonel (another mistake on JJs part). With these rushed promotions, Kozak lacked an active and work ethical Officer core and Han Company had Emberlynn and Kai. Spyros then chose to promote Emberlynn to Major, after her specifically saying she wouldn’t be able to, with this and his ignoring of her, she resigned. Han Company had lost every good officer except Spyros and Kai, who by themselves could not maintain the guild, it fell along with the collapse of the Unified State on September 10th.
Personal Thoughts
I obviously had many problems with several people, after “retiring” for a couple days I did feel as if I should come back and I did. Unfortunately Sage, Draz, Spyros and Halfdan made the hasty decision to rank me at a position to where I was incapable of doing anything. As I had told Logan and JJ, I didn’t care the rank, but when these four put me in a position where I had to have supervision from an Officer core that didn’t exist to host trainings, I was rightfully annoyed. So I left for good and officially retired from the State that Wednesday (8th) and originally left that Monday (6th).
Regarding Çønsïlïm Company, Drazius and many others such as Zanelia called me undeserving of Lt. Colonel, which in many ways I disagreed with. Yes the disbanding of Çønsïlïm Company was my fault, but with that fault, I had many more successes that outweighed it. Going off that logic though, I undoubtedly say that the fall of The Unified State was on JJ’s, Hicom, Spyros and Sage’s shoulders (along with the ridiculous advice from Draz). They can’t blame it on all the people that retired, otherwise Çønsïlïm Company could use the same excuse and therefore would have not been a reason for me or anyone in that Company to be ranked higher. At the end of the day though, Kozak fell with 30 active members, which goes to both Halfdan and Sage as being blamed. Han Company fell with 38 active members which goes to Spyros and Kai being blamed. In the end, whether you choose to blame them or not, a lot of factors lead to it, a lot of statistics lead to it.
In Conclusion, this State was a very good one for quite a few months. Towards the end, once Kusan left is when I believe it went downhill. Unfortunate as it is, we all did great. We all did extraordinary things together, although individual faults were shown. Together incorporating everything that happened it was a good State and I enjoyed working alongside Thanatos, Halfdan, Kusan, Logan, James, Emberlynn, Jace, Spyros, Kai, Arnold, Azerius, Naz, Vulnus, Truth, JJ, sometimes Sage and everyone else not mentioned. The next State I may not be around, but I sure hope I am. I truly believe we can all learn from the Unified State, and decisions can be made better. Hail State!
