Auel and [[Viral]] rapidly expanded the military while Prime Minister James tried to subdue Parliament. With the communists declaring a Communist government, King Auel initated the Martial Law clause within the Constitution, giving him absolute power over The State for three days. All communists are purged, and representatives of all member guilds either pledge their absolute loyalty to The State or are dismissed. Representatives are stripped of voting rights and are replaced with military personell loyal to General Viral and King Aue, effectively erasing democracy from The State.
 
Communist rebels joined the Bacseyian Confederation and skirmishes errupted between The State Military and Confederation forces within days.
