With the sudden and surprising return of Sherlock Zor, Amestris and its new ally Aegis Company armed for war. Sherlock's empire, the Kaiserlich, rose slowly and gathered a squad of loyal soldiers, yet did not last long after the alliance of Aegis and Amestris declared war.
Before the declaration, a meeting was held. General John Atlas, being one of Sherlock's best friends, stayed loyal and ignored the alliance's efforts to have him defect. This proved that the Kaiserlich was corrupt and the alliance unanimously agreed to declare war on the fledgling Kaiserlich.
This time, Fessler was Syrixia, and Sherlock was Praetoria. By the power of threats alone, now President Sherlock and John lose the war quite quickly. John vanishes and Sherlock disbands the Kaiserlich, and becomes a lone wolf, without a nation to call home...

However with Aegis Company rechristened as the Aegian Empire and its ally Aurixia, and the rise of Amestrian inactivity, David, who was later found to be John Atlas with intentions of starting over after the Kaiserlich War, vanishes after disbanding his Brigade and leaves for Era to start a crime family.
Kami, aka Xinke, shortly before Brigade II's disbandment, creates Brigade III. Though, it is never started up and only Brigade I remains loyal, under Fessler's confidant, Mathiveas Kaine. Fessler draws up plans to create a new empire with different, self-governed factions all tied to an imperial authority, like provinces.
Brigade I's rosters are wiped and the last hope of Amestris dies as the Federal Region of Aurelis is born. The Amestrian Empire is gone.
