Auel is well known graphic artist, guild leader, and hacker. He is attributed with the creation of the guilds Imperia, Britannia, and The State. He has been called the Father of the Graal Military for his influence in laying down the standard military structure and doctrine. His participation in more wars and battles than any other player in the game have made him into an extremely dangerous opponent. His unparalleled strategic history coupled with his abilities to ban, unban, and use invincibility have made him unstoppable.

From 2011 to 2014, Auel played an active role in what would become the formation of the military community by founding Imperia and later, The State. After co-creating the rules of war in the War of Paranoia, he engaged in a series of highly unpopular wars to prevent other militaries from forming and keep the military world united. While these unification wars were largely successful at maintaining Auel-State dominance for several years, they ultimately failed when game administrators intervened by banning Auel and dissolving the State.
Despite his arrogance, the flaw that has been his constant downfall is his tendency to disappear. Auel's following is nearly cultish in regards to their unquestioning loyalty, and without their leader, his armies tend to fall apart from desertion and infighting within days.

Auel has been inactive since 2014 but has not completely disappeared. His spot that he would frequently go AFK in since 2011, The Train Station has become the ''de-facto'' meeting spot for the military community, and he can often be found there dispensing advice to military leaders new and old.
His actions have made him a highly controversial figure. His use of Nazi Germany organization structures coupled with his totalitarian rule have earned him public criticism for being a Nazi.

In addition, he has periodically returned for around ~1 month twice a year (winter and summer vacations) alongside old collaborators to lead popular short-term militaries such as The Republic and The Free States.
Critics and supports alike recognize that his vision for player organized government ushered in the Era of the Militaries, a two year period of unprecedented player organization and the growth of an entirely new community within the game: the military community.
