Arcadian History

Arcadia is the longstanding guild of Peter Rhodes, having undergone numerous incarnations over the years. Peter Rhodes was brought into the community when General Sol, of The New Republic, started recruiting officers, one of the officers he recruited was Peter Rhodes. Peter was made a Colonel almost instantly, though he never had any previous military experience, he kept this information to himself. Peter quickly became friends with the other Senior Commanders, and with several of the Junior Officers under his command, together, they would form the High Command of what would become the First Arcadian Empire. Two weeks later, Peter contacted Quorong of Latveria and requested support for when he declared independence from General Sol. A few days after the temporary alliance had been made, Peter and his fellow commanders declared their independence and unallied Sols main command guild. Peter and his associates knew that Sol had no manpower left willing to fight against the Independent States, and so The New Republic collapsed. After the small victory over The New Republic, Peter got under way solidifying the Independent States. Peter organized a union of independent militaries called the Platinum Guard. Around a week later, Peter Rhodes and several other members of the High Command wanted to form one united nation, rather than a group of independent nations, they agreed on the name Arcadia, and elected Peter Rhodes as their Emperor. The First Empire of Arcadia was a young and inexperienced military, Peter had never been in a military, let alone commanded one. He organized a Council of Consuls of more experienced officers to advise his moves, their only other power was to command the Legions they owned. Arcadia was organized with 4 Legions, one of the Legions being a Cavalry unit, and a Guards force, called the Colstrium Guard. Consuls Irish, Beatles Valeria, Fang Maphasy and LaMont commanded the 4 Legions, while Paterson commanded the Colstrium Guard. Other notable Arcadians were Alyssa, Warrior, Donald, Alpha, Monkey, Jak, Manji, Timber, Roy and Britni.

The State-Arcadian Wars

A few weeks after the Arcadian Unification, Imperia and the State engaged each other’s forces at the Battle of the Dojo. Both sides called for the assistance of the Arcadian Empire, and Peter met with his consulate. The Arcadian Council advised against an alliance with the State, since it was known to force “lower tier” militaries into becoming colonies. Peter sent a message to King Xinke promising the Imperians the Arcadian support. A few hours after the Arcadian forces arrived, the engagement ended with a ceasefire agreement. The Senior Command of the Arcadian and Imperian forces came together to discuss the battle plans.

“United we Stand, Divided we Fall” – Peter Rhodes, First Battle of the Dojo

It would only be a few days after this meeting that Imperia disappeared, this would be dubbed ‘The Imperian Backstab’, for leaving an inexperienced military to fight alone against the might of The State. Peter Rhodes and an Arcadian ambassador went to the State headquarters and asked for peace, Auel's response was a call for Arcadia to become a colony, or to be destroyed on the charges of “heavy usage of State equipment” and “aiding enemies of The State”. Peter and his ambassador left and addressed the Arcadian Consulate that it would be a long drawn out war, despite this, Peter sent over ten messages requesting peace between these two great nations. Several Imperians joined Arcadia, the few that wanted to see the downfall of The State, the rest joined The State, most likely because they didn’t see any hope in Arcadia. In the first week of the war, there would be several skirmishes from one force on the other, the most notable skirmishes taking place in the York Forest region. The longest engagement of the War happened in the city of MoD, lasting nearly 10 hours. Although the battles almost never seemed to go the Arcadians' way, Peter Rhodes and his Senior Commanders did their best to keep the morale of the troops high in order to keep fighting against the State. Another notable battle took place at Dozer’s, lasting nearly 8 hours, this was the first engagement that the State Sentinels were deployed. Sentinels were strong and reliable fighting units, they would have made anyone who fought on their side very confident. The strength of these individual units was unrivaled, and whenever they did enter the battlefield the Arcadian forces would waiver and rout. The Arcadian-State Conflicts were some of the longest battles to be endured at its time. Weeks of continuous warfare would pass, and while the Arcadians were defeated in combat more often than not their morale soared because of the rising charisma shown by the Arcadian Emperor and his Government. The State, while victorious in battle, did not see the same results. Their morale continued to drop as the days passed by, several State troopers deserted, and many more questioned why they were fighting this war, however, the Arcadians knew why they were fighting. The Arcadians were fighting for their independence, for the respect of the community at the time, and to show that anything was possible, even a few month-old nation waging war and winning against one of the mightiest nations ever constructed in the military community. It is a common misconception that the Arcadians were fighting to destroy The State, most Arcadian officers had enormous respect for their opponents.

Near the end of the war, the “Roanoke Plan” was drawn out by State High Command, spearheaded by ViRaL CrUeL and Auel Vist. This plan consisted of an alt named “Roanoke” to enter Arcadia and to claim it was there to help strengthen their forces for the final push to destroy The State, specialized uniforms were made and given to the Arcadians, but this would lead to the destruction of Arcadia rather than the destruction of The State. “Roanoke” triggered bans on Arcadian Troops and Commanders alike, everyone except for Peter was targeted in order to officiate a surrender. Arcadians were banned for continuous periods of one hour, and this continued for 3 days until Peter finally accepted a spar match to determine the end of the war, both nations and weeks of combat were at stake. The spar match was held in Auel Vist’s guild house, but not in a technical spar room, this was done so Auel would be able to utilize his hacking abilities to secure his victory. Peter was sent several messages before the spar took place warning him of what was going to happen, several other messages pleading him to leave the guild house and to fight until the end. Peter Rhodes had hoped that by accepting, and seeing this spar through, that his honour would remain intact, whether he was victorious or not. Sure enough, Peter lost the spar, and kept his word, and with that, after over a month of combat, The Arcadian Empire’s Command guild was disbanded.

Following Peter Rhodes’ capitulation and after he took a break from the game, the banning stopped, but the war was not over. The Arcadian High Command made a decision to continue fighting, the main leaders of this post-capitulation movement were Alyssa Rhodes, Donald Rhodes, Monkey Rhodes, Paterson and a few others.

The Kingdom of Arcadia

In 2019, Xinke, renowned State officer, approached Peter Rhodes with promise to destroy Sarovia once and for all in a new iteration of Imperia. Though Imperia and Astoria (another Peter had also led) did not have an optimal past, the destruction of Sarovia was an offer of which caught Peter's interest. Thus, The Kingdom of Arcadia was soon created as a tag under The Holy Imperian Empire. The Kingdom of Arcadia was a dominant tag in Imperia, with tag peaks in the twenties for some amounts of time. Arcadia had also executed the first successful 'City tag' in the GMC, a social guild, labelled as an Arcadian province. This city tag was called The City of Colstrium and lead by Rylan Rowe. When Xinke needed a hiatus, Peter was elected as Interim Emperor of Imperia for the time Xinke was away. During this period, Peter launched several military campaigns into Sarovian land utilising the entire Imperian might he now had. These campaigns were extremely successful, and in about a fortnight, Sarovia was almost dead. When Xinke returned from his hiatus and regained control of the Empire, instead of killing Sarovia physically, like Peter had almost done, he employed a strategy of nullification. This, Peter did not like. After this incident, Arcadian High Command began to notice more and more the flaws in Imperia, and in August, started planning a secession - planning to have Arcadia leave Imperia on December first, 2019 to establish their own Empire. Peter began to rapidly militarise - transforming Colstrium into a military tag instead of a City and launching a brand new nighttime tag, Lancieri di Arcadia, lead by Soft Rhodes. Xinke was not consulted for the launching Lancieri as was usually required when launching tags for an Imperian Kingdom but held no suspicion for it was more manpower for Imperia anyway.

The Arcadian Secession

When December first arrived, Arcadian High Command had waited until all non-Arcadian High Command officers were in order to spread a document about why Arcadia was seceding. If interested, you can read that document here. Arcadian High Command spread this document in every server channel they could, and sent it to the DMs of everyone inside that server also. With this, The Arcadian Sovereignty was established. Some notable Arcadians who seceded from Imperia involve: Peter Rhodes; Ram Rhodes; Terri Rhodes; Coco Rhodes; Cladz Rhodes; Olly Rhodes; Emma Rowe; Donald Rhodes; Linus Rowe; Jiub Fraser; Uta Frode; Soft Rhodes and Ren Rhodes.

The Arcadian Sovereignty

Post-Secession Arcadia remains a three-tag guild at the time of this documents' editing. The three guilds are; The Arcadian Sovereignty, led by Peter, The Swords of Arcadia, led by Soft and The Lights of Colstrium, led by Ram. With the convictions established in the secession document, Arcadia sought the destruction of both Sarovia and Imperia. Thus far, two military campaigns have been launched against Imperia and their allies and one has been launched against Sarovia. The first campaign was launched on the 11th of January 2020, and was fought on two fronts; York and Destiny. Arcadia had officially offered to fight in a different war system to the current standard screenshot system an update much needed, however Imperia did not accept this offer "The war began with Arcadia and allied forces taking over Destiny, where they fought neck to neck. The Lights of Colstrium were dispatched later to Yorktown where they would intimidate the enemy with yet another critical engagement. The results of the war were not in favor of the Arcadians." -extract from an Arcadian news report. After losing York, all forces were fighting hard at destiny. In an attempt to open a new front at Delta, the Arcadian forces were stretched too thin to fight at another front. Though Peter did call forces back from Delta, it was too late and Imperian High Command had already taken and sent a valid victory screenshot. The second campaign was launched into York and MoD - the capitals of both Imperia and Oxeria, who were allies. "At nine o’clock EST this morning, Arcadian forces marched on Oxerian land MoD, and Imperian land York. Our troops fought hard at York for approximately nine hours, where it was disappointingly lost. At MoD, our forces fought valiantly for twelve hours, until admins ghosted and warped the battlefield several times. Because neither side is now able to fight, the enemy and several Arcadian high command officers agreed to a ceasefire," -extract from an Arcadian news report. Peter had realised that the Imperian morning activity was extremely poor, so he developed a strategy to catch Imperia off guard and attack them during their inactive hours. During this unrest, Sarovia had marched onto several Imperian territories, territories of which Imperia was not able to defend due to the fronts they were already fighting on being already tight and thus, this land went to Sarovia. The ceasefire made was on the conditions that all combatants join forces to retake this land, with the territorial spoils being divided between the guilds. Thus, on the 16th of March 2020, as soon as the 24 hour rule was lifted, the attack was launched. "With Arcadia, Oxeria and Imperia doing business when our forces marched on land, originally intended to compensate for our ceasefire, stolen yesterday amongst the unrest. These forces annexed all Sarovian land. Arcadia now owns a territory, Destiny! In addition to our conquest of Destiny, Arcadian forces fought on behalf of the Oxerian Empire for Onnet, coming out of that battle also triumphant. " -extract from an Arcadian news report. Though the relationship between Arcadia and the Impero-Oxerian Coalition is still bitter, this was a tremendous victory.

Sovereignty’s Monopoly

Come October of 2020, Arcadia had established itself as a military superpower, peaking 70 in wartime, defeating all of its foes, dominating all but two territories on the map and having 6 fully active tags under its name. However, disgruntled fingers pointed at Arcadia amidst its dominance, with people blaming the Sovereignty’s dominant grip over the community for a general stagnation in activity the community was experiencing at the time. With this, every guild in the GMC at the time United against Arcadia in an offensive to take the map. Arcadia was betrayed by two of its allies in this offensive, The Revolutionary Army, lead by Hizack and Arthinen, lead by Terian. The battle, Arcadia versus the entire GMC, lasted a gruelling 17 hours, with coalition forces eventually obtaining victory.

The Second Kingdom of Arcadia

After the events that disrupted Arcadia’s dominance, it reformed back into a Kingdom - splitting itself into a House-based guild. There were six tags: House Rhodes, lead by Peter; House Cerenth, lead by Donald; House Ryoma, lead by Rynji in the main corps, and House Frode, lead by Uta; House Arcuri, lead by Avia and House Luna, lead by Oz in the Night Watch.
